Pooja Gandhi, one of the most popular actresses of the Kannada film industry, was born as Sanjana Gandhi in Punjab. Her father, Pawan Gandhi is a businessman and Pooja had her initial education in Delhi Public School.
She quit her studies midway during her first year of graduation and started her career with a Bengali film called “Tumake Salam”, which was released in 2003.
Pooja then made her debut in the South Indian film industry with her first Tamil movie, “Kokki”, which was a box office disaster. Her first Kannada film, “Mungaaru Male” was a huge hit in Karnataka and established her as one of the most sought after actresses in the Kannada film industry.
Pooja has also acted in a movie called “Krishna” with her “Mungaare Male” co-star, Ganesh. She also features in “Daamad Ke Intezaar” and a Tamil film “Vaitheeswaran” opposite Sarath Kumar.
