Story - Dulha Mil Gaya
Dulha Mil Gaya is a heart warming tale of four individuals each of whom have different takes on relationships in their lives.
Donsai (Fardeen), a young commitment phobic debonair, is petrified with the idea of terms like ‘marriage’ and ‘long term relationships’.
Samarpreet (Ishita), a quintessential Punjabi girl, for whom relationships are to be cherished and lived by.
Shimmer (Sushmita), a diva from the world of glamour, for whom love and relationships aren’t quite half as important in life as independence and success are.
And lastly, Pawan Raj Gandhi, P.R.G. (SRK), for short, a suave multi millionaire whose heart still remains larger than his bank balance and for whom winning love is the only victory there is.
When their paths cross, fireworks go off and they not only land up influencing each other with their outlook on relationships but also get influenced themselves and learn a whole new meaning of the term.
Through the interwoven love stories of Donsai, Samarpreet, PRG and Shimmer, Dulha Mil Gaya, with the help of humour, music, emotions, and style attempts to unlearn the norms of love and relationships in the present day world!
A satiating romantic experience, that promises to bring more than a smile to your face!
Reviews - Dulha Mil Gaya
A billionaire playboy, Tej Dhanraj (Fardeen Khan), to inherit his late father’s assets (a resurrected Randhir Kapoor) has to retort to a strange will crafted by his dad.
And as per the foolhardy will, he has to marry his father’s friend’s daughter, Samarpreet (Ishita Sharma). So Tej leaves his partying habits back in Trinidad and returns to his homeland Punjab to inherit the property, but yes he does get married too…. Well do really want to know more about the plot?
So take the DDLJ’s, Namaste London’s and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’s, and there of course are the other Hollywood flicks that we don’t want to start naming again, put them in a cocktail jar, churn and shake well and alas there you go; you have the Dulha Mil Gaya recipe.
We just wonder if India was all about a small village in Punjab….
Director Mudassar Aziz seems to be from the old school of filmmaking, who has put no wits into directing just like his script.
Supermodel Shimmer (Sushmita Sen), adds to the glamour quotient of the film, but more often than not her fake accent, impromptu comic timing just comes across as too annoying. She decides to give a facelift to Samarpreet revamping her to Samara so much so that Tej doesn’t recognize her real identity. Evidently this Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi formula with a gender reversal of sorts, sadly doesn’t give any new perspective to the narrative.
No matter how hard Fardeen tries he’s just a write off in this flick, he’s better off doing some cameos devoid of any dialogue on lines of Tusshar’s dumb character in Golmaal. Ishita Sharma gets no scope to perform though her role is pretty much ok.
And if one expected Shah Rukh Khan to help the movie garner some attention you were wrong, for he doesn’t rise above the common in his extended cameo. We would suggest Tara Sharma stops acting and Johnny Lever is wasted in an inconsequential serious role.
