Story - Guru En Aalu

Guru (Madhavan) is a young ambitious man who will do anything to keep his boss Krishna (Abbas) happy as he promises to help him achieve his dream of opening an ad agency. Everything goes well till he meets and falls in love with a beautiful girl. His boss also lays his eyes on the same girl, a model named Seema (Mamtha) and desires to add her to his list of mistresses. Seema, a middle-class hostelite, has dreams of making it to the top of the glamorous world of fashion. While Guru begins to love Seema, she naively gets taken in by Krishna's smooth talk and is drawn towards him.'Guru's dilemma is that he has to keep his boss happy to fulfill his ambition and yet he is aware that his beloved is being conned into a false relationship'

Guru En Aalu is a Poor Remake

A remake of Shahrukh Khan’s 1997 film Yes Boss, Guru En Aalu revolves around Guru (Madhavan), an ambitious young man who will do anything to keep his boss Krishna (Abbas) happy as he promises to help him achieve his dream of opening an ad agency. Everything goes well till he falls in love with Seema (Mamta Mohandas).His boss happens to have eyes on the same girl and so begin the complications.

With its shoddy screenplay, Guru En Aalu is a big disappointment, especially for those who have seen the original. It is is nowhere near the quality of the original and worse still, Madhavan has gone overboard trying to ape Shahrukh Khan. Mamta Mohandas is no Juhi Chawla and even when she tries to act naive and innocent, you feel no real sympathy for her. Vivek  impresses in parts, particularly when he plays a woman resembling actress Saroja Devi,ut is too loud most of the times. Another major disappointment is the music. There are a half-a-dozen songs by Srikanth Deva, but none of come close to pleasing. Overall, Guru En Aalu is a drag.
