Story - Perumal

Perumal (Sundar C) works for a travels company. His job takes him to Andhra Pradesh, where he meets Alamu (Meenakshi). A doctor, Alamu is a witness to a crime and the criminals are chasing her. How Perumal fights off the rowdies and protects her forms the rest of the story.

Perumal –Weak

Permumal opens in a hospital setting where drug adulteration mafia is at work. Their illegal work comes to the notice of a junior doctor Alamu (Meenakshi) who consequently becomes a target. As the movie would have it she runs into Perumal (Sundar C), a small time thug himself. How Perumal protects Alamu and brings the adulterers to books forms the crux of the movie.

Although Perumal’s theme carries some decent potential, the presentation has totally let the movie down. Director Vincent Selva has failed in his handling of the subject, especially when it comes to maintaining the suspense. Added to this, he is guilty of blatantly diverging form the plot just to fit in the commercial elements and also paying scant regard to developing the characters. Srikanth Deva’s music is also a let down as there is not a single song that makes an impression. Overall, Perumal isn’t much fun.
