Jennifer Hudson is back to work after the terrible tragedy in her personal life. The actress lost her mother, brother and nephew in a shocking incident in October last year. The murder of her family members had brought her life to a halt. So, when she returned to the limelight with a rousing performance at American football's Super Bowl event on February 1 and announced a string of tour dates soon afterwards, her fans welcomed her.
In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Hudson says, "I'm good, I'm really good, I'm just glad to be back and working, doing what I love to do. It's like therapy. I'm in a very good place."
Hudson's mother Darnell Donerson and brother Jason Hudson, 29, were shot dead last October in Donerson's Chicago, Illinois home. The body of the Oscar winner's seven-year-old nephew, Julian, was found in a car elsewhere in the city three days later.
It takes a lot to overcome a personal tragedy and make a comeback on the personal front. We wish her well for her life ahead.
