The latest anthology in Mollywood, D Company, has been garnering attention for its huge star cast. Touted to be the first-of-its-kind action anthology, the movie will be directed by five directors in Mollywood, who are known for their action flicks.
The buzz is that director Joshiy, who will be directing Mohanlal in one of the segments, was hoping to rope in K-Town beauty Trisha opposite the superstar. If that was the case, D Company would have been Trisha's debut in Mollywood.
However, when contacted, Trisha's mother said that the actress is too busy with her Kollywood projects. "Trisha is getting a lot of offers from Malayalam. However, dates are always a problem. Currently, she has four projects lined up in Kollywood. So, it won't be possible for her to do a Malayalam movie now."
However, a source tells us a different story. "Trisha is way too expensive for the Malayalam film industry. She was demanding 40 lakh and didn't want to bring down the amount. Mollywood has a small market and won't give such a huge amount as remuneration for an actress."
